Western Grebe

Henry Link photographed these Aechmophorus Grebes on 11 Dec 2009 at Lake Brandt Marina, Greensboro, North Carolina where they have been present at least since 6 Dec 2009. Current thinking is that one is certainly a Western Grebe, while the other shows some intermediacy with Clark's Grebe. Additional photos are here and here.
