Eastern Kingbird

Ken Lady photographed these Eastern Kingbirds on 21 June 2007 in New Bern, North Carolina. "Olwen Jarvis, Susan Babcock, and I saw 2 Eastern Kingbirds perched on a dead branch near Northwest Creek Marina in New Bern, North Carolina. One of the birds was flying out, catching insects, and returning to feed the insects to the second bird. The attached picture shows the first bird returning to the branch with an insect in its mouth while the second bird waits expectantly with its mouth open."
