David Weathers photographed what appears to be a Gray Kingbird on 1 Sept 2007 at the small Super Sod area east of Santee, South Carolina.
The bird's bill appears to be too thick for Eastern Kingbird. David also described the bird as overall brown, too brown for Eastern Kingbird. There is a hint of a white tail-tip, but David reports that it did not have the typical band of white as on an Eastern.
