Banding Day in the Queen City
A gentle touch is essential on such a delicate project! Becoming a hummingbird bander requires patience, dedication, and lots of training. It also takes quite a bit of work to obtain all the necessary permits.
Susan has banded hundreds of wintering hummingbirds in North Carolina, and has been directly responsible for confirming several first state reports of a few species. (Next)
