Duke Forest is maintained by Duke University as a forestry research site, though much of the forest is also open for public enjoyment. A number of access sites are available (see below).

  • Dogs are strongly encouraged to stay on their leashes
  • Vandalism to parked cars is rampant at some sites, though rare at others
