The New Hope boat ramps are located at nearly the southermost tip of Jordan Lake. Although primarily of interest to boaters, a number of birds can be regularly seen from this site, including Ospreys and Bald Eagles. Ruby-throated Hummingbirds and Eastern Kingbirds can also be seen here with some regularity.

[edit] Getting There

From NC 64, take Farrington Road (also called Beaver Creek Road) south. Turn right onto Pea Ridge road, and right again onto W.H. Jones road, which leads into the park. An entrance fee of $5.00 is charged during the warmer months.

[edit] Caveats

  • Rangers have recently begun enforcing leash laws.
  • Some parts of the park are reserved for use by campers
