Swainson's Warbler

Alan Kneidel photographed this Swainson's Warbler on 25 May 2006 at McAlpine Greenway in Charlotte, NC. This bird has been on territory for a over a week now. It and the ones currently at Six Mile Creek Greenway are the first Mecklenburg County live sightings since 1942. There is a record of a tower-killed bird from 1978.
